The four-time Grand Slam singles champion stated on Monday that she was not only withdrawing from the Hong Kong Open, which is scheduled to start on October 28, but also finishing her season early on social media

Three weeks ago, Osaka gave up her match against Coco Gauff in the China Open’s fourth round and hasn’t played since.
She sustained injuries to her abdomen and back.
She wrote on social media last week in response to a fan´s Instagram question that the problem was “worse than she thought,” and she was “trying her best” to “potentially play” her home event in Tokyo, which she won in 2019.
But Osaka wasn´t in the Tokyo draw over the weekend.
